Garagee launches his new album, and on air on PBS tomorrow

This Friday Garagee will be launching his new album, Garagee II, at Long Play.


With support from labelmates Lonely Faces, Stickleback and Arcane Trickster.


See Garagee in an intimate, cinema setting!


This venue has strictly limited seating, so pre-booking is a must!

This weekend sees Hesius Dome & Robodop Snei playing at one of Australia's premier outdoor music festivals, Rainbow Serpent Festival.
Tempest artists have played at every edition for the last 10 years, and we are thrilled to continue the association.

Melbourne comes alive for NiteArt, at art sites across the city – commercial galleries, artist–run spaces, museums and unexpected architectural spaces for mini-events, off-site exhibitions, artist talks and installations


It all finishes at the Ian Potter Gallery, 800 Swanston Street, Melbourne and it's soundtracked by Tempest's very own DJ Arcane Trickster, open until 12.00 midnight. Entry is Free.

Speaking of free, to get in the mood, Arcane Trickster presents an excerpt from his DJ set last weekend at the Purple Emerald, featuring some brand new unreleased, tracks, recent releases and some classics.

Strange Ongoings In Other Dimensions, a collection of exclusive remixes of Robodop Snei's critically acclaimed Strange Ongoings album, featuring the talents of Deep Fried Dub, Numatica, Garagee, Arcane Trickster & more.

Robodop Snei has put together a funky exclusive DJ mix of tracks taken from the labum for you to enjoy for free on Mixcloud.

While we think of it, Robodop Snei is also featured on Mike G's Cosmic Lounge volume 41. For those of you who haven't come across these mixes yet, they are essential listening for lovers of downtempo and ambient grooves.

There's a brand new act we should her. Lonely Faces, is the solo project of Mike Baum from Guilty Hero. Inspired by old school electronica, as much as the freshest sounds, we will soon be releasing his entirely analog debut album through Tempest Recordings.
In the meantime, enjoy this DJ Mix, of minimalist techno Clunky Bangers.

Lonely Faces made his debut on our 50th release, A Tempest Sampler, has been available for a little while on Bandcamp (for free, no less).
From tomorrow, it will be available pretty much everywhere, including iTunes, Spotify, Rdio, Juno Download, Amazon, 7Digital & more.

It will still be available on Bancamp for free, for a little longer...

This weekend sees the return of the Rainbow Serpent Festival, at Lexington in North east Victoria. Nearly every year has seen our label involved, and this year is no exception, with Numatica previewing tracks from his forthcoming album 1 X 1 =3, and Tempest alumni Terra Nine and Aslan appearing in the chill space.

Speaking of gigs, Fate Aeffect will be be playing our very first show in Canada at Duffy's Tavern, Toronto on 15th Feburary, in a fine night of freaky electronica.

All things Arcane Trickster, Gigs, Mixes and a new release

Itas been a busy time for Arcane Trickster lately. Having recently played at the Cosmicleaf 9th Anniversary Celebration in Athens, for those of you who missed it, check out this free mix prepared by Arcane Trickster to capture the feeling of the night.

We are proud to announce the Cosmicleaf connection is set to continue, with a brand new, exclusive track "Blit" to be featured on the forthcoming Nova Natura 4 compilation.

Compiled by Zero Cult, the album also features Side Liner, Zen Garden, Cydelix, Dedast and many more. Its out on 24th Feb.
