Garagee launches his new album, and on air on PBS tomorrow

This Friday Garagee will be launching his new album, Garagee II, at Long Play.

 

With support from labelmates Lonely Faces, Stickleback and Arcane Trickster.

 

See Garagee in an intimate, cinema setting!

 

This venue has strictly limited seating, so pre-booking is a must!

 

$25 ticket gets you:

*12" Vinyl copy of 'Garagee II' (which comes WITH CD copy + sticker!)

Tempest artists at Rainbow Serpent Festival this weekend , and a free DJ mix from Numatica

This weekend sees Hesius Dome & Robodop Snei playing at one of Australia's premier outdoor music festivals, Rainbow Serpent Festival.
Tempest artists have played at every edition for the last 10 years, and we are thrilled to continue the association.

New website and video for Garagee, Summer gigs a plenty and Tempest In Dub 2 released

Summer is upon us, at least here in the Southern Hemisphere, and that brings with it a host of shows.

Fresh from the Summer Renaissance Festival, Arcane Trickster and Stickleback will be appearing at French Fest, on idyllic French Island over New Years.
The festival will also feature Tempest's Sunsaria, along with Tøn, Ear Mind Eye, Stepping Inwards, PZP and The Scullamooks from our sister label, Slice Records.

On New Year's day you can catch Robodop Snei, playing at New Years Day By The Bay, at Spirit Station Pier, 6 Waterfront Place, Port Melbourne.

On the 2nd January, Garagee will be supporting art rockers Fierce Mild at Long Play, 318 St George's Road, North Fitzroy. (A venue well known to us here at Tempest, as we had a long running residency there, when it was known as Glitch Bar!)

Tempest In Dub Volume 2 ready for release, and summer Festivals

The long awaited follow up in our Temopest In Dub series is finally ready.
Tempest In Dub Volume 2 featuring the talents of Deep Fried Dub (Dubmission Records/ Iboga), Andy Rantzen (Itch-E & Scatch-E) and the debut solo track from vocalist Kerensa Stephens, best know for her work with Zero Cult, Side Liner and Terra Nine, along with contributions from Tempest regulars Numatica, Stickleback, Red Eye Express, Garagee, The Omm Squad, Sunsaria, Modified and more.

You can find it at our Bamdcamp store here, on pre-release. Next week, it should be available everywhere.

The Summer Festival season is upon us, and Tempest artists are well represented. Following on from a lively start at Earthcore, next up is the Renaissance Festival at Camp Eureka, Yarra Junction between 26th to 28th December, which will feature sets from Tempest's  Arcane Trickster and Stickleback, along with PZP from our sister label, Slice Records.

Earthcore this Weekend, Metaphoenix released, and festivals galore

This weekend is Earthcore 2014 with a strong representation from Tempest Recordings, featuring Numatica, Arcane Trickster, Robodop Snei, Hesius Dome, Sunsaria & D-Rektional.

Set times are below:




Whilst we are on the topic of festivals, December will be jammed packed, first with the Renaissance Festival, at Camp Eureka, Yarra Junction between 26th to 28th December, which will feature sets from Arcane Trickster and Stickleback.



Then there's French Fest, over New Years, on French Island, which will feature our artists, Sunsaria, Stickleback, Lonely Faces and Arcane Trickster, along with Ear Mind Eye, Tøn, Sikander, Stepping Inwards and The ScullaMooks from our new sister label, Slice Records.

Halloween special at The Purple Emerald, 349 Hight St Northcote..

Co-presented by Slice Events, we will have our old mate Andy Rantzen, of Itch-E & Scratch-E fame, making a rare Melbourne appearance, and will aided on the night by our own Arcane Trickster, alongside Mr Bronson, Verde & Squiddly Fiddler.

It's on 31st October, of course, and entry is free.

Speaking of our buddies, Slice, they will be launching their brand new label, Slice Records.

Set to join Tempest Recordings as part of the CUT Music Label Group.

Slice kick it off with their first release, Metaphoenix, available now through Slice's Bandcamp, and soon to be released everywhere.



This Saturday, French Fest gets underway with an old fashioned Warehouse Party!




Featuring Tempest own Stickleback and Rip Van Hippy, with many more... co-presented by Slice Records & Events.

Tempest Recordings & Slice Events have teamed up once more to present a very special event at our newest, most favourite Melbourne venue, The Purple Emerald.

"Georythm" will feature Tempest artists Guilty Hero, Garagee, Stickleback & Arcane Trickster, along with our good mates, The Med School.
Visuals will be provided by Slice's Tøn & Ear Mind Eye (the new alias for Fate Aeffect).

Entry is free.

Arcane Trickster at Art Nite this Wednesday and a free DJ Mix

Melbourne comes alive for NiteArt, at art sites across the city – commercial galleries, artist–run spaces, museums and unexpected architectural spaces for mini-events, off-site exhibitions, artist talks and installations

 

It all finishes at the Ian Potter Gallery, 800 Swanston Street, Melbourne and it's soundtracked by Tempest's very own DJ Arcane Trickster, open until 12.00 midnight. Entry is Free.

Speaking of free, to get in the mood, Arcane Trickster presents an excerpt from his DJ set last weekend at the Purple Emerald, featuring some brand new unreleased, tracks, recent releases and some classics.
